The Purpose:
Steve Tappin is the CEO of Xinfu, host of the BBC series ‘The CEO Guru,’ and is a CEO coach. Steve interviews and works with some of the world’s most prominent CEOs, sharing global CEO best practice and the latest advancements in the global leadership agenda. His book, ‘Secrets of Chinese Ceos’ shares 120 of China’s top chief executives’ secrets (and challenges) of success.
I worked with a fantastic team to help launch Steve Tappin’s book, ‘Secrets of Chinese CEOs’ and his book publicity strategy. ‘ His book’s main goal was to build new connections with CEOs and to give insight on how to do business in China.
The Solution:
Our focus was to build connections with top CEOs within North America. The best way to create those connections would be face to face. Our strategy was to coordinate a book launch in New York City.
The Result:
The book launch and book publicity strategy was a huge success. BBC filmed the whole launch, and Steve interviewed three of New York City’s top CEOs. High-profile business leaders, journalists, and CEOs came to the event to learn more about Steve and his new book. We also secured dozens of media coverage, including placement in BBC, New York Times, South China Morning Post, and others.
